It's worn out. Most of the time it's used to charge the cell nightly, but on occasion a GPS.
Going forward, I've been using a conventional USB extender with a cable with a dual pigtail (USB Micro male and USB mini Male)
The right angle and the extension is preferred in the Bedroom.
