Does anyone have/know where it is on the net a complete table of what the different 74-series logic sub-family means and the benefits

ie

74HC = ????
74HCT = ????

I tend to use HC-logic since better noise imunity, but at work we also use HCT for a few places where faster stuff is needed.

Asking cause been lumbered with the jub of organising our stores and we have alot of different chip we didnt know we had.

Very interesting page, has a menu at the bottom you can scroll through to give basic characteristics of each type. Have a look around this site, great deal of info there, nice charts, etc showing speed and other comparisons.

I remember that Fairchild ( methinks ) used to do a chart in their master selection guide that let you pick family by requirement, not sure if they have it on line or not...
