LM567 tone decoder latching?

Will the LM567 IC circuit latch onto fast rising ramp input frequency as they pass through the frequency band window and the preset center frequency? I like the idea of optional latchlock with LED that stays on as the load. I may have to use a separate frequency comparator opamp with scr output latch/lock. How can I make the LM567 unstable, so as to switch it's output section, on rising frequency only??

no..the 567 requires that the input be present for some time for pll to lock , refer its datasheet
