Hey everybody im new here, and this is my first post!

Well, im a senior in HS and im taking 2 electronics classes (analog and digital, both are really fun and ive learned so much)

Anyway, im really into amps, speakers, and the sort.

So i made a LM383T 8+ watt speaker (with a 6 ohm speaker i might add)

It works GREAT!!! But i was woundering... how can i use a POT to control the volume? Any Ideas?

I don't understand hows your amp works great without a volume pot control.
Do search on google 'audio amplifiers' where the schematics shows how to connect a pot to control volume.

See the 10K input pot used with LM386 to control the volume.

i also have it hooked to a 555 led blinker circuit, forgot to mention that (it also has a B100k ohm pot on the 555)

im also using a 383 not a 386... i just need to know what pins i need to connect the pot to..

Hi,
It's pin 3 before C1 you have to connect the wiper of the pot. OK?

See the pic.

Hi Transistor,
Please don't copy schematics that have a backwards input capacitor and an important capacitor and an important resistor missing.
The pin numbers are wrong too.

The volume control must be connected to the signal input, not to pin 1 nor to pin 3.
Pin 3 is ground and the ground terminal of the volume control connects there.

The LM383 has not been made for more than 10 years.:p

Wrong pin nos. I agree, was in a hurry. Just searched on google ;)

The volume control must be connected to the pin 1 through 10uf cap :p:p
