You may ask why would an electronic forum want to read old issues of computer magazines.
Well way back when computers were a novelty (1978-85) the hardware was somewhat primitive and yet very hacker friendly. Many of the magazines of the time offered hardware fixes and modifications to get a little more out of your computer. The OSs of the time also did little aside from disk I/O and in many cases you were on your own to write sound & video routines. You really had to understand the hardware to write the software.
You can still learn alot about electronics and computing in general from these old magazines and see where some of us "old timers" got our start.
