light depended switch

i want to design a switch which will be on when there is light and off when it is dark.i preffer to use LDR as my sensor and LED as the source of light.please provide me suggestions and the circuirt.

I suggest you use a LM311 voltage comparitor and a LDR (Light Dependent Resistor)
