Hello! I have read about charging Li-Po batteries, but I'm not an expert in electronics (basic stuff only).
I would like to know if somebody could help me.
Is it possible to power a device with a Li-Po battery, and charge the battery without disconnecting the device using a Li-Po charger? Is it necesary to have external circuitry to do so?
I have seen this little Lipo charger:

SparkFun Electronics - LiPoly Charger - Single Cell 3.7-7V Input

Apparently, that single chip allows charging AND powering the device simultaneously. If that is so, what would be the maximum current it can handle? I don't really understand the datasheet of the MAX1555 it works with.
Thanks.
