i am currently using a PC1602-F LED ,i would like to know where do i connect Contrast Adjust (Pin3), Register Select Signal (Pin4) and both Power SUpply for LED B/L, + and - (Pin 15 & 16). Can i manually test if they are working by connectin them to ground and vcc?someone pls help, thanks a lot.

I recomend searching a LCD tutorial. it normally shows what must be connected where. The way to test if LCD is working is to connect power to it (pins 1 & 2) and also power thecontrast pin with whatever voltage it needs. The backlight unit is independant and requires 4.2V ~160mA.
