LED matrix

Hey Everyone,
I am trying to design a circuit to display letters and numerals on 8x8 LED matrix using a MAX6960 chip and microcontroller. I am trying to find anode and cathod in LED matrix so I can connect them to rows and colums pins with MAX6960 chip. Any other suggestion for circuit design are most welcome.
