Hey everyone, I'm taking an introductory course to microcontrollers and was wondering if anyone knew of any good sites to learn about microcontrollers, and especially assembly language.

We are using the Motorolla 68HC12 micocontroller and I'm having trouble understanding the assembly language. The instructor recommended a book, "Embedded Microcontroller" by Todd Morton. I would go out and get the book but it costs $200 dollars and I heard the book isn't that great anyway.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

How about using the 68HC12 databook and technical reference manual. It has a very clear explanation of every ASM instruction. Further they are grouped both alphabetically and by function. That is all I used for the 68HC11, 68K, PPC, and the Altivec.
