laser source and photodetector circuit of a sensor

Hi,
i'm doing a project about vibration sensor based on Fabry-Perot Interferometer.
Now my supervisor wanted me to show him the circuits of the laser source and photodetector. Could any 1 give me some ideas about it? I am going to use an 850 nm VCSEL laser diode as the source.
