I im_noob New Member Nov 28, 2008 #1 I'm trying to find the replacement for L293, L297, L298 that will run on 3V. Is there something like that (I'm using 3V micro controler so would like to skip the level shifter if I can). thanks in advance

I im_noob New Member Nov 29, 2008 #2 I am looking at data sheet for L293 and I see this: All inputs are TTL compatible. Click to expand... And when I look here: **broken link removed** The TTL treshold voltage is at 0.8-1.5V so microcontroller running on 3V (or 3.3V) is actually producing TTL levels on the output so the L293 should work, but then looking forward trought the data sheet I see: recommended operating conditions: Logic supply voltage: min=4.5V, max=7V High level input voltage, Vih=2.3 - 7V Low-level input voltage, Vil -0.3 - 1.5V Click to expand... Now, this is "close" to TTL I see on the graph, but not sure if it is close enough (if the "source" is PIC running on 3V)? Last edited: Nov 29, 2008
