Hi,

is there any advantage using an L-C snubber circuit with high power phase controlled motors (5 to 10KW)?

Hi,

Most snubbers use R and C because they have to get rid of some
of that energy, not store it.

If you post a schematic of your circuit we can take a look.

L-C would be a filter. At 10KW and 50Hz you are talking about $200 USD in 1000 piece quantity to get it down to something resembling DC. The advantage is more in motor life than EMI control.
