Hope some one can point me to a data sheet

Its a serial lcd

It is NOT a general purpose character LCD display

It is a special purpose LCD for alarm panel keyboard. It has a 4 digit clock display with blinking dots in the middle and symbols related to alarms in the sides. Therefore it' s useless as a general purpose display.

I searched many hours but I found nothing. I assume that because it is tailored made not general purpose display for the specific application, its data sheet is not publicly available. If you have a working alarm keyboard (I do) and access to logic analyzer (unfortunately I don't) you probably may decipher the communication protocol.

I have about five of them the lcd is spi is all i no thanks any I salvage them for parts I just wished I keep a working one to see how the LCD worked

Thanks for the info, I didn't realize that the communication protocol was so common. I will try to drive mine also just for fun as you said.
