ISD1790 HELP ME! (Any information would be appreciated)

I am trying to connect a PIC microcontroller to an ISD1790, to play particular parts of the memory back. I don't know whether the chip receives the LSB or MSB first (need to know for the programming of the chip).
I also need to know how to calculate the time period of these pulses.
If anybody knows anything about this chip that may be useful please say!! I need all the help I can get.
