Is there a "Sams Photofacts" for appliances?

Have you tried the manufacturer's website or toll-free number? Any warranty coverage? Sams may have a photofact for the electronic appliance, or the schematic may be posted inside the unit ( doubt it!). What is wrong with the appliance in question?

Its an older Whirlpool drop in range. I have the technical notes showing the wiring diagram. My problem was the controller board. Its a simple, one sided board that uses a comparator to set the temperature range between heating element on and off cycles. I finally found the patent that displays the principles for the operation.

The problem was a failure to reheat after achieving the preset temperature. I found a bad resistor in the window comparator circuit.
