hey - I know just enough to be dangerous lol

my TV messed up and I just resolderd pins on a convergence module. the module is pasted to a huge heat sink. I want to install a fan to assist in cooling. there is an open "port" with 8 pins on the main Cuircit Board - the schematic has this port labeled
1)24v, 2)no pin, 3)HV_A, 4)ARC_PRO, 5)X_PR, 6)GND, 7)12V, 8)ACL

Is the 12 V pin DC and can i plug a computer 12V 0.1A fan into pins 6 and 7?

thanks

mike

No idea where you are in the world. And it sounds like you should not be messing with the TV..

But silly question. Do you have a DVM or any type meter that will read volts? If so put it on DCV and put the probes on 6 and 7. If you get 12+/-
then it is DC.

If in the US, Radio Shack has meters local to you.
