IR trasmitter using PIC 16F84 and NE555

Hi guys.
This is my first post on this form. How you can help me with my project.

I am going to create an IR trasmitter using PIC 16F84 and NE555. As protocol I am going to implement RC5.

I have connected in my circuit RB0 pin to pin 4 of NE555 in order to send command to remote TV.
I was wondering if there are asm library ready to use in order to generate the 14bits packet on
RB0.

here no use NE555.

Two things.

First the 16F84 is an expensive old chip. I would suggest something like a 16F88 or newer.

Second the PIC can easily generate the IR without a 555.

But each of us is free to do as they wish.

PIC16F84A..... Ahhh those good old Nigel's times.
