i had the IR LED, and i needed a reciever for the IR light.
so i was given the IR transistor!!!
but i dont know how to use it!!!
i wanted to use it in a circuit such that when the IR LED goes on, the LED goes on, and when it is off, the LED is off...
i can do the circuit using LDR and a normal transistor...
can anybody help me?
i just want to know how to deal with the IR transistors... thanx..
If you understand transisters it is very similiar, the difference being the the gate is contolled via IR light rather than having an additional leg on the transister for voltage.

i know that!
but should i add a resistance to the base???
wer should my normal LED be so that when the IR LED lights this LED lights?
on the collecter? i still need biasing voltage right?
man i dont know but i think this way the LED will always be ON anyway!!!
even if i took IR LED out of the circuit and made the left part be open circuit!
i only want the LED to be ON when the IR LED is on... thanx anyway..
