How to establish IR data communication between ATmega 128 microcontrollers.
I am doing a project to make remote control transmitter and receiver so that the data I send is received .For example If i want to make an remote control fan (connected to motor) , how to switch on the fan,change the speed etc. or I i want to make a remote car,then how the data(move right,left,back ,change speed etc) is to be transmitted using IR rays.How the frame of IR should be and how dataword is transmitted in an IR transmission depending on the button pressed in remote

Learn the sony protocol (SIRC). Search for my IR project. I have a good amount of source online here. Um..

Um... once you learn a protocol you can use it to send data back and forth.
