Hi i just wanted to know if its possible to covert an inverter to become a grid tie inverter? either using the built in outlet plugs or internal circuit modifications.

Id imagine alls you have to do is match the mains frequency ( using transistors? ) an then having a higher voltage out put?
I have a 3500w inverter id like to adapt or a 600w if thats safer.

"All" you need a circuit the matches frequency, voltage, and phase. That requires a method of detecting the difference between the two waveforms and adjusting the inverter output accordingly, not a trivial thing to do.

Whatever you do be sure you have a breaker at the output of the inverter before you connect it to the mains.

Your circuit must be certified to be suitable by your electrical utility company and have some kind of communications with them so that it is turned off when the electrical workers are working on the electricity line connected to it.
