interfacing of a toy car

"THE" implies there is only one toy car. I happen to have several which throws that theory right out the window.

Anyhoo, you can not interface "the" toy car to a Windows based computer. It only works using True 64 UNIX on a DEC Alpha system. Good luck!

Hello. Kindly give the CAPS LOCK key a rest. NO ONE LIKES SHOUTING. If you have to do it, please say so.

Your question is rather broad. Please supply the following information:

1. Describe the toy car. RC? what scale? Did you buy this, or make it? If purchased, what make and model is it (a web site with this info would be better). If you made it, give us a thorough description.

2. Are you going to run wires straight to the vehicle or use radio control? Yeah, I know, sounds stupid to ask, but this has been done before.

3. Is the PC controlling everything? Or are you using a microprocessor on the vehicle to do immediate control?

4. Can you program? If "yes", what language(s)? How long?

5. What is your final goal for this project?

6. Do you have any idea how much you want to spend on this?

We'll be able to help a lot more if you can answer these questions. If any of these questions confuse you, let us know and we'll try to answer any questions.

Have a nice project,
kenjj
