Yes, I saw the datasheet, but how do I go about physically soldering the connector? I think the spacing between the pins is too small for a common stripboard/verboard. Is there an adapter for me to fit the cable in, then solder the adapter instead?

my bad, been responding to skimming to much lately... the answer you want is no ... the answer you need is with great difficulty ( I do not know of an adapter though you could do a toner transfer one yourself ) at 0.8mm you can solder to the pins of a connector manually and every fourth one or so will come close to the 0.1" pitch of your hobbyist board.
