I don't know which IC do it. but you can put a transisor which will get 5V/3.3V in the base and get out 3.3V/5V in the emetter.

John Sorensen New Member Nov 5, 2004 #4 Many 3.3V chips have 5V tolerant inputs, and their outputs are within the acceptable range of a 5V's input. In that case, no level translators are needed. Check the datasheet. j.
