the project includes sending data from the computer via RS232 to be printed by the printer.:)

we r baffled on how 2 proceed with it.
Reason is that we being undergraduates arent well versed with the microcontroller projects

we doing it as a final year project to obtain the B.Tech degree

pls help us out here

project details

sir,
hi thanks for replying for my mail.

please send me the details of the project which i have posted to u.

You simply need to receive data at AT89C51 thro COM Port via MAX232, then send each byte to a 8-Bit Port connected to the Printer.
You also need to take care of Feedback from printer (Busy, No Paper, Printer Off etc.) and pass these back to PC to alert User. This is effectively a Serial-To-Parallel Converter.
