For a uncontroller msp430 from texas instruments I know the instruction format for different kind of instructions , and one of the formats (double operand instruction format) has some bits whch control the addressing mode
: Ad(1 bit ) controls the addressing mode of the destination operand , and As( 2 bits ) controls the addressing mode of the source operand . The problem is I don't know in which way they controlle the addressing mode, and the documentation of the ucontroller doesn't say, it says only what I wrote above . I tried diffrrent instructions and different operands in an instruction to see how they're encoded , but I got even more confused .. Does anyone know how I could find out in which way those bits controlle the addressing modes ?
