Inchworm problem!!!

Hey,
i built the Inchworm icd2, im having some problems with it,every time i try to connect to it i get the following msg:
"Connecting to MPLAB ICD 2
...Connected
Setting Vdd source to MPLAB ICD 2
ICDWarn0020: Invalid target device id (expected=0x87, read=0x0)
ICDWarn0044: Target has an invalid calibration memory value (0x0). Continue?
...Reading ICD Product ID
Running ICD Self Test
...Passed
MPLAB ICD 2 Ready"
im sure that i have properly connected it to PIC, im testing with pic16f676 ...and im able to download the right OS(for this pic) on the icd2
plz help if anyone has an idea
