I've got a rotary switch I need to replace, and am having a hell of a time finding out how to replace it. Anybody have any ideas? If my switch terminology is right, it's a 2-deck, 12-pole, shorting switch. The schematic says "4-gang shorting switch". Thoughts?
Farnell stock parts to make rotary switches. (Shaft assemblies and wafers.) You could use 4 of these wafers. https://uk.farnell.com/nsf-controls/ma112s-454623ma/wafer-ma-1pole-12-pos/dp/146057?ost=MA112S
The manufacturers part number is MA112S. On the manufacturers data sheet they also list MA206S (which is 2 pole 6 way make before break) but Farnell do not seem to stock them. If you could obtain them you would only need 2 wafers. I think the shaft assemblies have adjustable stops so you can set them to 4 position. Another point. I would check the values of the carbon composition resistors. A few weeks ago I was looking for a resistor in my stock and found that almost all of this type of resistor had changed value by a large amount.
