Hi All,

Application:
Display pre-recorded alert messages to the video console using HDMI Port.
Will be using an HDMI siwtch to switch b/w two video sources.

1. It would great of someone can let me know available HDMI chips?

2. If i were to interface an microcontroller to any HDMI chip how to record and store the
video?

3. Any reference projects to start of with..

Thanks in Advance...

First you have to generate the complex HDTV digital signal to do what you want. Then you have to convert that to the HDMI format for transmission over the HDMI connection. Here's a reference to someone who apparently did something similar. Looks fairly complicated.

Thanks for your time....

Can we send an video in .avi or mpeg format directly through the HDMI Port directly?Does it need conversion to HDTV format to be transmitted?

Thanks in advance
