Just upgraded from MPLAB 7.21 to MPLAB 7.30 and noticed that my ICD2 clone fails the self test on the VPP voltage but I actually have the same 12.96 volts VPP voltage that I had before... Interestingly, it still programs and verifies devices ok, despite the "failed self test" message... Has anyone else noticed this? Is this a minor change in the VPP limit checking in MPLAB 7.30?

TIA... Happy Holidays... Regards, Mike

Hi Mike,

So far, My ICD2 is working just fine with MPLAB 7.30 (tested with 10F206 and 18F2620). My Vpp is 13.02 V.
Try to reinstal MPLAB and/or to rise your VPP voltage a bit.

Mary X-mas.
