IC locations.

Hewwo, all. I need to know where I can find various ICs (Linear and Digital) like multiplexers, de-multiplexers, memory chips, timers, Microcontrollers, and so forth. Can anyone help the leopard out? I would also like to find some project books and such on how to integrate IC chips.
