What does the s:b mean?
Production plant?
Have some other in the ds series start with p and another b

Definitely a fab or lot identification.
I have some old TTL devices, some have the SB, others have an AJ or AK appendage to the date code.

Are you a collector or are you looking for a replacement or, what's the reason behind your question?

Collecter would a nice word for a hoarder.
These are old stock. More info I have better chance for someone to by them over the junk on the bay.
When I was looking thru my ics that haven't been put into drawers I come across these .since I had about 30 of them
thought I see if worth while posting them.
Other than then the bay I don't know of anywhere else to sell them.sometimes on forums.
With the threshold on income tax on sales from the bay im done with that for the year.
I'm 70 and have a collection of 50 yrs of parts

I would go straight to the datasheet. Packaging description used to be complemented with the marking details for many brands.
