Hi Guys

Latest board has...issues.

I clean forgot that a Comparator and Op Amp work differently. Comparator has Open Collector outputs......
Comparator can only sink current. My bad.

Board has to be re- designed to fix this issue. Luckily I only ordered 2 prototypes. Not thousands of boards

Still expensive for my pocket.

I think I need a Woman powered board with an Open Collector.

Sigh
 
From now to eternity a Woman's "special secret place"...shall be known as a Collector...

Cause it gathers stuff. And when it's open and working it's magic. When it's closed and in for repairs it's hard to live with.

I'm looking at the funny side to a situation. Trying to make a disaster a bit easier to handle.
Some will get what I posted...some will not.

Been there!!! Done that!! I haven't a woman to check it either!
 
Do not assume that an open collector output is open for output to any and all signals. There is a common man rejection ratio to consider.

What is different is amplified.

Anyway. I was dumb.

Boards 100%....except no LED indication when PP3 is full. Charging good...indication screwed up.
 
Need a stable VRef. That means a 431B. 0.5% accuracy.

Like buying a car for $100000. No speedometer though.
Car goes really well. Speedometer just shows speed.
Speedometer does nothing else.
Speedometer difficult to incorporate.

Sigh
 
Comparator needs something like 1k of viagra to pull up your output.

If this output drives a LED high when ON, you'll be shutting her down when active low.

LOL. I'm joking around but a still a problem with the boards. This is gonna be one expensive speedometer.

Sure I can maybe modify and get a few sold...but no. Rather get it right with a new board.

You Guys will laugh when you see my basic error
