I Need Help with AM Radio using a LM386 IC

Wheres the input ? your schemy shows both ends of P1 grounded. One of the ends should be the input to pin 3 on the LM386.

Yes, where is the input ?

Anyway, do the test instructions say "1V AC on a Voltmeter" ?
That would actually not be 1V AC in reality, since the AC range on Voltmeters are designed for 50Hz. But you have 400Hz.
