I live in Kent and i need a programmer and have cash!! (must support 16f877
) tomorrow 18/12/04 or before sunday 19/12/04 i am willing to travel any takers?

Your main problem is the time scale you quoted, Quasar Electronics stock various programmers, at good prices - but I don't know where they are based!.

yeh i know but im a bit worried about the post before xmas i have as always left it a bit late, i was hoping my velleman 8048 would do the job with an adaptor but it dosnt and i dont know why it does 18 pin packages and has a 28 pin socket but it dosnt see 28 pin chips when installed so ive made a 18 pin to 40 pin adaptor but it dosnt see that either puire frustration is getting to me a bit...

Try ordering a P16PRO40 from Quasar, it could well make it before Christmas - depending mostly on your local postal service!. But it does tend to be poor down south!.
