A humming started in my speakers. It's intermittent.

I use a Logitech external speaker system.

If I turn it's volume down, the humming volume goes down.

If I unplug/plug its power source the humming goes away for a while.

Any ideas as to the source?

Try a different audio source, make sure it is the speakers.

Hum usually comes from the power supply - if it sounds like a low vocal range, it is likely a power supply filtering capacitor (common).

If it is a very low (60 or 50Hz, then it could be a diode but this is rare).
