How to use Pic MCU

Hello all,

I am very new to PIC MCU.
I want to use it. But where to start i dont know.
I dont have anything, tell me 1st what all r things to buy.
and how to program i.e. any IDE?
and then how to do hardware connection to download code into MCU?
what interface device should i have to use to connect MCU and PC??

I was working with Freescale MCU.
