When you are logged in, at the bottom left of the lefthand bar that has the poster information, there is a button to report bad posts.

Ok? So you are saying you want us to start reporting bad posts? Hmm, sound like too much work.

Yes, it looks like this .

But what do we classify as bad posts?

Obviously, porn, spam adverts, racist and terrorist stuff, but do we take it a step further and ban the "do my prjt 4 me" posts?

Why bother?, the moderators delete them (and ban the poster) as soon as they see them - personally I don't ever get the email from the reports until after I've already dealt with them.

Just ads and spam where the poster obviously knows they do not belong.

Project posts are passively neutralized by simply not answering the question. But commercial posts serve their function by just being there.

Lets take the action on advertisements one step farther. Let us unite, and sign that email address up for a bunch of things. You know, sign them up for "You just won a FREE* laptop! Click here to redeem this FREE* prize!"

I won't comment on that, but here's what to do with spam adverts:

1) Ignore it.
2) Don't post any replies to it, it makes it more trouble to delete.
3) Don't bother reporting it, again it just makes more work.

As soon as I see it I WILL delete it and ban the poster, in the banned list here there's only ONE banned user that wasn't banned by me! :)

The reason not to post a reply is simple, I click on the users name and select 'show all posts', I then select all of their posts and click on delete - this deletes all their posts, but will leave any replies by other people in place, so I have to delete those seperately. I then permanently ban the offending spammer.

If 24 hours have gone by then feel free to report it, as it may have been missed - but please don't report it immediately.
