How to Switch ON/OFF a Bulb based on the output of an IC?

Most probably using IC - 74' series IC's(Ex: AND).
Power Supply will be 230V AC.
Incandescent Bulb/Any other appliance.

Really a pretty open question with little information so here is a simple open answer.

Let the IC drive an SSR (Solid State Relay) that requires a low voltage like 3 Volts to turn it on.

You normally want to use an opto isolator or an SSR (which is also isolated) to drive a 230VAC load. Directly driving a transistor or TRIAC from the drive circuit would expose the circuit to lethal voltages.

That is correct, I missed to mention adding a relay between the driven transistor and the AC load.
