how to intefacing PIC 16F628A to com port ?

I wana to interface the PIC 16F628A to com port that I can blink a led and read state of a push button.

I'll use BASIC for PIC and visual basic for PC software.

Then look at how a MAX232 is connected to a PIC USART. Lots of BASIC examples on the web.

PIC Simulator IDE has a basic compiler and I use that.
