The computer sound cards microphone jack lets off about 5 volts I believe to the mono plug that goes into it. I was wondering how to eliminate any voltage between the mono plug the mic since the mic is going to be powered through it's own source. Resister maybe? Sorry I am a still learning.

1 capacitor (10u sounds about right) in series with the line.
