how convert 1.2V@0.9A to 2.4V or more

Hi,


i'm using a solar cell and a AA batery (1.2V@0.9A) but i need a less 2.4V, how can easily convert this 1.2V@0.9A to 2.4V or more voltage?

Do you need an output of 900ma or is 200ma @3V output Ok? If so, check out this thread:

Buy another pannel and connect it in series.

When the sun goes up and down he'll have a 0.00001Hz AC waveform. Now where are those 10000F caps I had laying around?
Hero999's idea is the simplest though; add another battery and double the solar array voltage.

The voltage doubler and "quadruppler" also require more than 1.3V pk-pk unless using special diodes.

after lose some time searching and study some solutions i will use this one based on a MAX1678 from MAXIM-IC.
