It's in C:\MCC18\lib but you shouldn't need to find it as MPLAB should know where it is. It sounds like your paths aren't setup correctly. See the attachment for how mine is setup.

Edit, I'm assuming that you have downloaded and installed the student version of the C18 compiler.

Reinstall the C18 compiler and it should set the paths for you.
