I am trying to set off a CAR HORN with Household batteries and a push button switch. I would also like to keep it as small as possable.

Why use a car horn if size is the issue?Try a piezo busser,Beside drawing
less current it is a lot smaller.You dont say what batteries you are using, again size will be an issue, as a car horn draws a lot of current,so you will require larger batteries.
