Hi,

1.The AC Electric power from power station, is deliver in high voltage AC, but what is the frequency it carried? is it 50Hz?

2. the AC Freq from sub station, how it control/ calibrate and maintain the 50/60Hz?

3. In Airplane, why the AC system is 400Hz? what is the advantage?

Thank you

1. Same as line frequency, 50 or 60HZ

2. AC is produced by a rotating machine. Frequency is proportional to shaft rotation speed, so turn it slower or faster... Practically, since there are hundreds to thousands of generating stations in a grid, they are all turning at a synchronous speed. It is a ***** to start all the stations from a cold start.

3. At 400Hz motors, transformers, and filters are smaller and lighter.

Hi,

I can answer some of the problems!

1.AC power carried frequency(50/60).
A:That is according to generator synchronous speed, slightly hi or low than it is also OK. Long time it`s become a habit and standards.
2.How to maintain the frequency and Airplane AC power ,I don`t know!
