audioguru Well-Known Member Most Helpful Member Oct 30, 2007 #2 A little darlington transistor has a gain of at least 10,000. I have never used a PNP one. A BC557C has a DC current gain of 420 to 800 at 2mA. It has the European CBE pins layout so turn it around.
