Microchip Technology, Inc. Acquires HI-TECH Software

Microchip Technology, Inc. announced that it has acquired HI-TECH Software, a provider of development tools for embedded systems based in Brisbane, Australia. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

I don't know what this means for MPLAB or HI-TECH's compiler, but it's interesting.
