I m using the same P89V51RD2(which has 8051 core), which has inbuilt timer and counter,
i wanted to use the counter to count the pulses given by a circuit connected to the pins P3.4 and P3.5 of microcontroller chip which are counters.....
if any one please can help me out with wat kind of status must i set for special function registers as i need to count only few pulses....
i refered few of the books like mazidi and Kenneth Ayala but i was unable to clear the concept of timer/counter modes.......
