thanx for the interest shown. i would like to do something in frequency synthesis. please give me some idea. We are 4 in a project group & have to complete in abot 3& half months.

If you do a Google search on "frequency synthesis block diagram" or "frequency synthesis theory", you will find some useful info. Also you should become familiar with these terms:
phase lock loop
VCO
frequency divider
mixer
prescaler
The CD4046 IC or 74HC4046 are useful in low frequency PLLs, application notes relating to these may be useful.

thanx,i am suddenly confused as to the particular application of this freq synthesis. i am pretty new to this field. so.... i did check the listed urls, but the technical jargon was 2 much for me. so.... could i do something using the bluetooth as a sidethought (or that must be expensive!) plz suggest something.....
