I recently purchased a few Dell DA-3 12v 15a 180w power supplies and having an issue with getting the working. I should be shorting pins 1 and 5 to turn the power supply just like shorting the green on a normal computer power supply which should get +12 at pins 2, 3 and 4 with ground being pins 6, 7 and 8. I've tried this on three of them and it appears I may be doing something wrong. Can anyone assist?

Try pin 5 to ground (6, 7 or 8).

Yeah, pin 5 should be Remote and connecting it to pins 6, 7, or 8 should give you a start.

There is probably a power up and a kill i/p, both need grounding.
